Launched as a trio in 2013, Aphelion are reborn in 2023 as a quartet, celebrating Earth Day in their first adventure into sound. Taking as starting points the music of Hawkwind, Arvo Part, Hildegard of Bingen, Aidan O'Rourke, Karine Polwart, Lady Maisery and Kate Bush, the quartet create a dreamscape for contemplation and reflection upon where we find ourselves in this moment in time.

The performance was recorded as a continuous, unbroken sequence of music; the audience were invited to either be seated or lie on the floor - they chose to do both!
